The first consideration is the type of door. Factors to consider include the space available inside and outside your garage, how often you access your garage, whether you would like a garage door with very little maintenance, or whether you’re comfortable applying the occasional lick of paint. Materials available include steel, fibreglass and wood:

– Steel doors are thicker than the bodywork of a car and are galvanised to ensure they don’t dent easily. Many manufacturers offer a 10 year guarantee on steel doors.
– Fibreglass doors are available in a number of finishes and colours, including a highly effective woodgrain effect. They are sometimes reinforced with a steel frame within the plastic to ensure they remain rigid.
– Wooden doors in particular offer a traditional look, and those doors made from cedar wood in particular do not expand or shrink as much as other woods.

In addition to installing new garage doors we offer a repair service. If your garage door can be fixed, we will be able to fix it. We have many years of experience working with the main manufacturers and have access to a wide range of spare parts.

Automatic systems are very easy to use, and we believe that once you install an automatic system, you won’t want to go back to a manual opening system! Remote controlled systems can be installed on existing doors in the majority of instances and require only occasional routine servicing. Handset replacements are also readily available should you lose or break yours.

Our installation teams are trained in metalwork, joinery and electronic systems, and have many years of experience installing garage doors, entrance doors and security systems. Not only will they expertly remove your old door and install your new one, they’ll leave your home and garage as clean and tidy as they found it.
